First of all, the house will be rented by only one party at a time independent of the number of people belonging to the party.
As described before the house is built in the southwestern style. It is - as you can see from the picture - located on a hill side facing the lake. The property is on the east side of Big Water. In front of the house in direction to the lake is public land. This is undevelopped land and the chances that it ever will be developped are low. In addition, there is a ridge going from north to east 50 yards from the east border line of the property. Thus, it can be garanteed that the view from the house will stay unspoiled for a long time to go.

It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a big living room with the kitchen built in. The deck is oriented toward the lake (geographical orientation between east and south). The pictures give you an impression of the house and of the floor plan. In case you come by car equipped with a 4 wheel drive you can drive directly to the lake starting from the vacation home. The house is equipped with TV and an access to the Internet.

Lake Powell (when full) has a shoreline of 3150 kilometers, and the navigable distance from dam to flowing water is 300 kilometers; some of the territory is indian reservation. As stated before there are no human settlements along the lake. There are 5 marinas where food and gas can be bought. Due to the way the lake was created there are many side canyons where the visitor can steer the boat into. There are many rock plateaus where a tent can be set up and - in case one has the barbecue equipment on the boat - barbecuing can be done. Due to the unspoiled beauty of the area the night sky is clear and it is possible to watch the stars of the milky way - something one will not be able to see in a big city due to the pollution caused by exhaust gases etc.

In case renting of a powerboat is not intended there are many commercially organized boat tours available, going up and down the Colorado River, thus bringing you to Rainbow Bridge and to many other attractions of the lake.
